Bovey Tracey Parish Council was formed in 1896 after the largest reshuffle of local government for many years and in 1974 became Bovey Tracey Town Council. There are a total of 14 Councillors who stand for re-election every 4 years. Bovey Tracey Town Council works together with Teignbridge District Council, Devon County Council (DCC) and the Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA)
