Bovey Tracey Town Council Staff
The Town Council employs 8 members of staff on a full and part time basis. Responsibilities are as follows:
Town Clerk – Terry Westwood - is responsible for the overall management of the Council's work, advising the Council and ensuring its decisions are carried out. The Clerk is responsible for all the Council's legal, financial and administrative affairs. The Clerk is contracted for 23 hours a week and evening meetings as required.
Administrative Assistants – Linda Warren & Esme Gedge – who are responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the office and deputise for the Clerk in his absence. Linda and Esme work a total of 28 hours per week.
Groundsman – Ron Hubbard – who works fulltime, oversees all the buildings, and keeps the different areas of the Town Council to a high standard He is responsible for all planting and maintenance of the flower baskets and boxes within the Town during the summer months.
Assistant Groundsman – Roger Rance – assists Ron on a part time basis to help keep the Town's amenities to a high standard.
Park Keeper – Graham Penn– is the Town Council’s new Park Keeper for Mill Marsh Park and Bullands Field.
The Town Council employs two other members of staff on a part-time basis:
Ralph Latham – who keeps an eye on the Recreation Ground, making sure it is kept litter free, and oversees carparking.
Valerie Brimicombe – who ensures the Town Hall, Council Chamber and council offices are kept clean and tidy.
