The remaining events are: Charter Folwer Festival from Friday to Sunday. Charter Disco at the Town Hall on Friday evening. The Changing Face of Bovey Tracey, a heritage exhibition at the Methodist Chuch Hall on Saturday and Sunday. The Grand Charter Procession from Coombe Cross at 10.30am on Saturday The Charter Fair and Market in Mill Marsh Park from 12.00noon on Saturday. Family Music evening at the Riverside Hotel on Saturday evening. Charter Celebration Service in Mill Marsh Park on Sunday at 11.00am. The final event of Charter Week, bring a picnic and join us in Mill Marsh Park for this family event from 5.30pm onwards with the music of the swing era, provided by AJ's Big Band. The winning design from a competition organised by the Charter Committee and the Bovey Tracey Society of Artists was won by Samantha Lee-Brina for the front cover of the souvenir programme. Samantha's daughter, Jasmine, also provided the winning design in the 4 to 6 years old category of the Charter Banner Competition. A truly family affair. You can now see the three winning entries from the Charter Banner Competition on the lamposts in Fore Street. Helen Mann, who won a similar competition for the 700th Charter Celebrations in 1960, was the runner up and her design is on the back cover of the Souvenir Charter Programme. The programme is now finalised and full details are given in the souvenir programme now on sale throughout Bovey Tracey. We can now provide an update on the some of the events of Charter Week. Charter Ball Tickets for the Charter Ball, taking place at the Dolphin Hotel on Saturday 3rd July from 7.00pm are selling well. Click on 750 Charters for full details of this event. There are still tickets available, costing £25.00 each and can be purchased direct from Bovey Tracey Post Office, The Fruit Shop, Arnolds and the Bovey Tracey Information Centre. Charter Half Marathon & Charter Three Mile Fun Run. Entries for the Charter Half Marathon continue to flood in each day. We now have around 200 entries and are still accepting more and will accept entries on the day up to 9.30am. The trophies for this event are displyed in Coombes window in Fore Street. Details of the route and a downloadable application form can be found at the 750 Charters section of the website along with details of the Charter Fun Run, which is entry on the day.
