Bovey Tracey Baptist Church

Our hope is to increasingly become a Jesus-centred family, serving the town of Bovey Tracey and beyond.
We are convinced the person and work of Jesus is central to a full understanding of life and the universe. Therefore, growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus is of primary importance to us.   We want everything we do to centre on Him and our whole church life to be guided and directed by Him.  Fundamental to this, we want to be a church that places a high value on the Bible and prayer.
As a group of people, who have received Jesus and become children of God, the realisation that we are the family of God is very important to us.  We really are brothers and sisters and want to live more and more in the reality of this, sharing life in a deeper way, eating together and enjoying being together.  We seek to be a church that deeply values one another and where authentic, honest, gracious friendships are a living reality for us all.
We want to be a community who respond to Jesus' radical love for us, by becoming wholehearted worshippers of Him in our everyday lives wherever we find ourselves. Together, we hope to serve and bless the town of Bovey Tracey and the surrounding towns and villages in thoughtful and caring ways, so that those who don't yet know Jesus are attracted to Him.  We also want to contribute to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, in word and deed, throughout the world in varied and meaningful ways.
We have certainly not arrived yet, but are praying that God would help us become all that He wants us to.  Of course, the best way to get to know us better is come along to one of our Sunday services!
