Nominations may be submitted by residents, colleagues from work or voluntary groups, visitors or customers who have a good experience of the nominees activities in the parish.

YOUNG CITIZEN OF THE YEAR 2022 AWARD

This council is looking for nominations for a young person or group of young persons aged 18 or under who have demonstrated commitment to helping others and making a difference to the community of Bovey Tracey and/or Heathfield either:

  • Individually (including overcoming personal challenges)
  • Through an individual contribution to or actively supporting a group activity
  • Helping family or friends or other members of the wider community as a result of their own initiative or an organised activity
  • A small group in the above categories where it is inappropriate to identify just an individual in the group

Examples can include those raising money for a charity or good cause, acting as volunteers, young carers, mentors to others, or even one-off actions of an extraordinary nature.

All you need to do is fill in the nomination form and explain how you think your young person or small group of young people has demonstrated their help for others in the community. As mentioned above, we are happy to accept nominations of small groups – just fill in separate forms for individuals and send them to us together.

The Council is seeking nominations for this special Award for members of our community who through their extraordinary efforts to help others by going “over and above” for the benefit of the wider community during these difficult times, have made a significant contribution to life in Bovey Tracey and/or Heathfield over the past year.

If you know of anyone who you feel deserves being recognised for their special contribution, please submit your nomination by 1st March 2022.
