Launched in 2014, Clare’s Preserves is a true artisan producer of top quality, award winning marmalades, jams, jellies, chutneys and relishes. Clare qualified as a Chef at Ashburton’s Chef’s Academy in 2013 and combined with winning a Silver at the World’s Original Marmalade Awards in 2014 was inspired to develop a select range of delicious preserves. 
Based in the foothills of Dartmoor all our products are handmade by Clare in small batches using traditional open-pot methods. Time and care is taken in sourcing the best ingredients using fellow local producers/suppliers wherever possible. Clare also loves foraging for ingredients through the seasons and is always on the look out whilst walking with her dogs, Mimmi and Diddi. A particular focus when creating our marmalades and jams is to aim for fuller flavour and less sweetness. To achieve this Clare carefully controls the amount of sugar added, allowing the taste of the fruit to come through and not be overpowered by sugary sweetness. Quality not quantity is key and you can really taste the difference!
The quality of our preserves has already been recognized by the following coveted food industry award schemes:
Taste of the West 2016: GOLDS for Lemon, Dartmoor Honey & Ginger Marmalade, Pink Exmoor Gin Marmalade, Smoky Tomato Relish and SILVER for Beetroot & Oramge Chutney. 
Original Marmalade Awards 2016: GOLDS for Lemon, Dartmoor Honey & Ginger Marmalade', Pink Exmoor Gin Marmalade and Seville Orange Marmalade with Dartmoor Honey.
Food & Drink Devon Awards 2015: Platinum (Outstanding Product) for Mulled Cranberry Jelly & Silver for Luxury Mincemeat with 10 Year Old Somerset Cider Brandy.
Great Taste Awards 2015: 2 stars for Clementine Marmalade and Sweet Pickled Cucumbers / 1 star for Smoky Tomato Relish, Pink Grapefruit Marmalade and Mulled Cranberry Jelly. 
Our product range is continuosly developing and we plan to have a selection of ‘Limited Edition’ products, which will showcase the best of Devon’s local seasonal produce, including some traditional varieties of plums, apple and pears. We are also keen to include hedgerow fruits in these products such as sloes, crab apples and blackberries.
