Coronavirus update
Added: 02 April 2020
Bovey Parish Action Group
has been formed to work locally to identify and help vulnerable people who need support within our community.
They have produced two articles which are attached, one giving important information about the virus and one listing food outlets who are able to deliver groceries for those that are self-isolating.
Dartmoor
Local residents are asked to respect the government's instructions to avoid driving significant distances to take exercise - while Dartmoor is very close, it and most particularly the Haytor area, are obvious hotspots where numbers of people are likely to gather in car parks and at the rocks even if they keep a safe distance when walking.
Produce Market
As a result of the restrictions, the Produce Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month is cancelled for the time being.
New Community Building
Local residents may also have noticed that while work on the new Community Building in Station Road had been progressing rapidly, work has now stopped as a result of the current restrictions which will clearly but unfortunately lead to another delay in its completion.
