They have produced two articles which are attached, one giving important information about the virus and one listing food outlets who are able to deliver groceries for those that are self-isolating.
Local residents are asked to respect the government's instructions to avoid driving significant distances to take exercise - while Dartmoor is very close, it and most particularly the Haytor area, are obvious hotspots where numbers of people are likely to gather in car parks and at the rocks even if they keep a safe distance when walking.
As a result of the restrictions, the Produce Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month is cancelled for the time being.
Local residents may also have noticed that while work on the new Community Building in Station Road had been progressing rapidly, work has now stopped as a result of the current restrictions which will clearly but unfortunately lead to another delay in its completion.
A meeting in January of Bovey Tracey Town Council discussed and agreed a Carbon Emissions Reduction Plan for the Riverside Community Centre and its associated operations.

VOLUNTEERS have started to give Heathfield Community Centre a little TLC, including a green makeover and new link to Zimbabwe! The team got busy before Christmas, clearing a site where rotten fencing is due to be replaced by a native hedge, planted in partnership with nearby St Catherine’s C of E Primary School.
