This time the daring dads and their children will be doing amazing science experiments, including making water-powered rockets and pocket rockets.
Co-ordinator Dan Best said ‘At the Silly Science event we are going to be doing a range of daft science experiments using household items, such as bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, toothpaste, sweets and coke, as well as building rockets and setting them off. Please bring a 2 litre bottle of a fizzy drink, like Diet Coke. There’s no need to book, just turn up. We are always open to new dads and carers – so why not come along and have some fun with the children. Also, the website and our Facebook page tells you more about what we’re planning for the year ahead.’
The event is free but the organisers are asking for a donation. As ever, the event is for dads, granddads & other male carers, accompanied by their children aged up to 10 years old.
