The Awards are intended to acknowledge the successes of those young people who make an outstanding contribution to life for the benefit of others around them. All nominees must be aged 18 years or under and reside in Bovey Tracey or Heathfield. They must be a young citizen or one of a small group of young citizens who have overcome challenges in their own lives or have been able to make a significant difference to others in their community.
Each qualifying nominee will be awarded a certificate recognising their achievements and they may also be nominated for the overall Young Citizen of the Year Award for 2019.
The closing date for nominations is 25th February 2019 and the judging panel will meet in March. The Awards will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting at the Phoenix Hall in Bovey Tracey on 13th March 2019.
